Scampi - JRT X, Dog (5 Years)

Post  F on Wed Sep 28, 2011 3:20 pm

Scampi has come in to rescue through no fault of his own. Sadly his owner has ill health.

Scampi is a friendly chap and is okay with other dogs. He has been used to children aged 6+ years.

Scampi is a little bit overweight at the moment and as such needs to get in as much exercise as possible to ease off the weight on his joints. He walks a bit like a duck at the moment! When I took him for a walk I tried to run for a bit with him. He wasn't too keen at first, I guess excercise is probably not his most favourite activity lol!, but after a while he really got into it and it was really nice to watch his face light up, when he realised that running is actually pretty good fun. We did not overdo it and went for a good rest on a bench for some fuss and a photoshoot. He posed nicely and showed off his smile with that funny tongue of his in as many pictures as he could. Overall a very sweet little dog.

pleasant personality

Post  Angela on Sun Oct 02, 2011 12:50 pm

I walked little Scampy yesterday and I really like him.

He is very patient, friendly with other dogs, and easy to walk because he is so slow, haha.

Poor little fella is overweight and running is more a hopping but he enjoys it and keeps looking up to me to make sure I am with him- it looks as if he is smiling at me and saying, "that's fun ey?" Too cute!

Scampy time

Post  Jeanette on Sat Nov 05, 2011 6:35 pm

Scampy wasn't for walking today, so we enjoyed a munch in his kennel then an indulgent ramble on the patio area after being carried there like a little king. He is a sociable little man, so we walked a little, carried a little to the benches and watched the other dogs walk while having cuddles and the obligatory tummy tickle and scratchy ear. If you want a lap dog stop right now....its Scampy time
