Chuck - Staffie, Dog (3-4 Years)

Chuck came to us from the Pound, therefore we know very little about him and his past. He is a big, energetic lad who needs lots of stimulation and exercise. Chuck would prefer to be in a home where he isn't left for too long on his own. He is yet to be tested with other dogs

Chuck is such an exictable and loving boy who is full of energy and love. He loves getting out of his kennel and heading out onto the field.
Every time we walk past, he looks up into the patio, hoping no one is in there so he can have a go! Chuck is so loving, and anyone would be so lucky to have him!

sweetness, fun and adorable, likes to sit as close as possible to you..on yr lap or in your coat he definately needs the human touch and contact what more could one want from a dog. he's definately what i call a meat head (big head) as soon as u meet him u know he's going to be as friendly and waggly as possible to get your attention...walks beautiful and likes to take a rest at every bench where he gets a treat and a cuddle xx defin a dog to come and view x

Chuck - Chucky - Thumper!
Chuck is an amazing lad! So far he has been with Matt and I for about 4 weeks and it feels like he has always been here! He settled straight in to his foster home with us on his first night!
On arrival Chuck had a bad wound on his back that had gotten progressively worse through stress and biting at it. This has cleared up nicely and is nearly gone, with the hair growing back too! All that was needed was extra attention as to when he was "itching" it. He soon realized after about 3/4 days, that we were trying to help and we didn't even have to correct him. He would just look at us before he went to "itch", sigh and then turn away.
Bless! Must of been hard for him! Everyone knows how much a scab can itch and irritate! He also had a lump on his nose through straining to get through the bars at the kennel to seek affection; this has also gone down nicely and the hair is growing back as well.
On being with us Chuck has gained back lots of confidence, gained weight and strength - which at times can be testing as he is a strapping chap! This is only however due to his over enthusiasm to meet and greet everyone and anything!
He has socialized/met so far with: 2 adult male Boxers on a walk (they were off lead - Chuck on lead), a HUGE 6 month old Great Dane bitch in Pets at home (which he attempted to play with, however she stood up and started to bounce and he thought otherwise! hehe), another HUGE male Great Dane cross (puppy) again in Pets at Home but a different time.
All in all he has been very social towards all dogs so far. He allows them to come in to his space and sniff etc standing gracefully as they do. He accepts by sniffing back etc, stays calm and does not proceed to jump around on them unless prompted by the other dog to play.
He does NOT live up to his name of "Wood Chuck" as he has not chewed anything in our place! (Thankfully). He knows his boundaries and his own personal space. He is not possessive over his own space and is happy to share it.
Matt and I have gotten Chuck in to a routine around meal times in which he sits and waits before he is given his bowl. When it is our meal time he lays in his bed and waits until we have cleared away plates etc before he knows he is allow to come out. We have not crated him for meal times as we wanted to see his potential and so far it has been exceptional!
Chuck is a quiet dog over all. He doesn't make any unnecessary noise or bark - only little barks if he is really desperate to go out to the loo!
We have nicknamed him 'Thumper' due to when he gets excited the sound of his tails wagging and banging on the floor. Which is very amusing!!
Matt and I shall update you again soon! Please message us if you would like to know any more information on him! He is a brilliant dog!
Much Love

Chuck is no Chicken
I collected Chuck for his walk for the first time today, I have never before had the honour of walking him and have I missed a treat! He was excited, so we went straight into the playpen, he has a real zest for life and its so good to watch him off lead, running around as if he had to cover every bit of ground before moving on. We played ball eventually... after I had stopped marvelling at his antics, he truly makes you smile. He enjoys chasing the ball with another ball in his mouth and loves to be chased, keeps looking around come on chase me, chase me. When I was shattered, he was no trouble to put back on the lead and off for a walk to the benches, where he sits beautifully, can do both paws and down on command. Chuck is just a happy chappie. On the walk passed the entrance, a car pulled up, a man and small child inside the car, Chuck stopped, looked and I think he was being looked at too. If you want a look, come up, ask for Chuck
