Dusty - Staffie, Dog (1 Year)

Dusty is a sweet boy who had come to us from the Pound, therefore we do not know anything about his past.
At the moment he is unfazed by other dogs at a distance and walks well on the lead under the right instruction. Dusty would like a home where he is not left alone for long periods as he really enjoys human company.
Very good on lead
Dusty was exceptionally good on the lead for me today. No pulling, no jumping. But I did notice he was taking very detailed notes about the boundary fence. He was definitely looking for a way out! Interestingly, he didn't seem to know any commands. Not even 'sit'.
I didn't try the play area as it was our first date and I didn't know if I'd be able to get him back.

Re: Dusty - Staffie, Dog (1 Year)
Today I walked Dusty for the first time, and I have fallen in love! He is such a sweet boy who is so well behaved and all he wants is fuss and love.
He walks extremely well on the lead, no pulling or tugging at all, and walked happily by my side. He didn't pull to get at any other dogs, just ignored them completely and carried on his merry way. As we got to the top field, he showed interest in the play pen, but it was way too muddy!
We had a lovely cuddle on a bench, and he had no problem sniffing out the treats in my pocket! All Dusty wanted was a cuddle and some love, which I happily gave him!
Dusty would make anyone a lovely pet and companion, all he needs, like most of our dogs, is a chance.

Re: Dusty - Staffie, Dog (1 Year)
Dusty is Ruby's opposite neighbour and I have the pleasure to watch him quite often while I am sitting in Ruby's kennel. Dusty is gorgeous and always waits patiently at the door until eventually somebody comes around to talk to him or give him some affection which he obviously craves. When he is too bored he plays with his waterbowl.
Someone has now given him a red ball in the kennel to play with. He makes my heart melt and I am trying hard not to feel to sorry wanting to give him as much time as I give to Ruby. I wish we had more volunteers and time so that every doggie could have his very own friend to look after him/her.
