Re: Chompers (Formerly Annie) - Staffie, Bitch (approx. 6 months)
i first met Annie last saturday and at first sight i wanted to cry for her; this sweet little girl looked very red and sore with hair loss and just looked all wrinkly
i knelt down to say hello through the bars and she came straight to me to have a fuss..instantly my heart melted what a beautiful little staffie. i have walked her a couple of times now and shes so easy to walk- wants cuddles and to snuggle up to u!! on the patio she seems to know a few commands and comes when called with a face that says "i love you" and a non stop wagging tail!

Re: Chompers (Formerly Annie) - Staffie, Bitch (approx. 6 months)
I thought I would give you Chomper's (Annie's) background.
She was being kept in a cage on the balcony of a flat. I don't know how long she had been there before I was told about her. Thank goodness the weather has been mild this winter otherwise I dread to think what this little soul would have suffered. She suffered enough as it is with a number of nights below freezing.
I obtained an address and rang the RSPCA who told me it could be up to 28 days before I received a report. Well I rang a number of times that week but couldn't get anywhere. I was having sleepless night worrying about her and it seemed that nothing was being done. So I tried the council but it was a housing association flat. Finally got the correct one. The lady got their visitor to look for her.
I picked a message up on my answer m/c at 4 pm one Friday telling me she had been found and she was being PTS the following Tuesday. I rang Mary explained the situation and asked for a rescue place. Mary agreed straight away so off I went to the block of flats where I knew she was. I just pressed all the buzzers!! What a tado that caused but eventually the door opened so I knew then that the owner was going to be on one of those landings. Sure enough there she was !!! Load of hassel bu I came out with Chomper.
Took her back to the kennels where Kim sorted her a comfortable bed out and put her under a heat lamp (this was 5 star luxury to this little soul). I left her in Kims capable hands. The next day Mary took her to the vets where it was confirmed she had mange.
The process of getting her well began. Mary and Alison gave her a number of baths and that together with a coarse of antibiotics and loads of TLC from everyone bought Chomper back to health.
I understand from Emma that she has gone to a really nice couple and I am so pleased as that is what she deserves after the awful start she had. She is so grateful for the smallest amout of fuss. She is a diamond.
Wishing you all the happiness in the world in your new life.
Oh by the way still waiting on the RSPCA !!!!!
