Cassie - Staffie, Bitch (2-3 Years)

Post  F on Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:42 am

Cassie is yet another Staffie that we saved from the dreaded 'put to sleep' sign at the pound, and this brush with death hasn't put her off the human race at all! As is typical for her breed, Cassie is extremely friendly and loves everyone she meets.

Cassie is strong on the lead, but not unruly, so she will need someone who is prepared to continue with lead training by taking her to training classes. She is also great with other dogs and is very sociable and seems to have a calming influence on the grumpier FDR residents!

As Cassie is still young, she requires an active family with sensible children who will train, play and love her and give her the exercise she needs. In return, you will be gaining the epitome of the Staffie breed - a beautiful, dog friendly people pleaser.

Cassie is full of life and very affectionate. When I was taking pictures of her, both my camera and I were covered in slobbery kisses within seconds of meeting her! dog lick dog lick dog lick dog lick dog lick dog lick She also has the biggest tongue I have ever seen!!!

She is a big, strong girl who will need firm and consistent handling. In exchange for a forever home she will keep her new owner fit and will love him/her with all her heart for the rest of her life.

This big girl is a bundle of joy an absolute dream to walk..and seems to get on well with other dogs..i have walked her three a breast and she was a star even when a male staffie 'Harley' was very keen to know her Wink if you know what i mean! She has got a calming ora about her that dogs as well as people are drawn too..you just cant help falling for her.
When i went to collect her from the top kennels Baggy appeared (other side of the fence) also very interested in Cassie they were nose to nose and his tail wouldn't stop wagging.. another one of her many admirers Wink she seems to be very chilled and very gentle for a big girl when she has sat with me on the bench for cuddles...she will make a family very happy as she has a lot of love to give!

Walked her for the first time today...and instantly fell in love. She's a beautiful girl, so placcid, completely unfazed by the other dogs. Indeed, she seems very sociable, very friendly. On the lead she's strong but not unruly, curious but not contrary. Overall, a charming dog.

PS - Just to reiterate what's already been said; it's true, she does have an enourmous tongue Very Happy

Today I walked Cassie for the first time and she is such a great dog. As Harry said, she is certainly strong but not unruly and I managed her well (I am really quite small and probably don't weigh that much more than Cassie herself, so I think that speaks for itself, really lol! lol! lol! ). I gave her some fuss and then she walked really well with Chance, basically completely ignoring him. His manly displays left her cold (it is just a joke as Chance was also on his best behaviour lol! ). We then went to the playpen and had a good go at playing ball and bless her, she did not want it to end. Hope to walk this girl again.

I have walked Cassie a few times and she really is a lovely dog. She is a big friendly girl who walks well on her lead and loves to play ball in the play pen. Cassie has a beautiful face and does seem to be forever smiling. We had a lovely walk in the sun today stopping for some fuss on one of the benches. When we got back to the top kennels this big gentle girl did not want to go back in.

Walked Cassie again today and what a lovely gentle girl she is. We started with a game of ball in the top play pen and then had a stroll around around the fields in the sunshine. She had great fun in the paddling pool splashing her front paws up and down and trying to catch the ripples in her mouth so funny to watch. We finished off by having another game of ball in the large play pen. Cassie is a big beautiful girl with a lovely nature and will make a lovely pet.
