Another great walk with Amber

Post  Nina on Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:04 pm

This dog is just brilliant! Today I had yet again an absolutely fab time with Amber. She was again very good in her kennel when I was getting her collar on. Then we went for a walk around the fields. We had a bit of a run at the bottom field which she absolutely loved. Once we finished with the top field we went to the playpen and had a good go at ball throwing (me) and catching (Amber). Hopefully, Anne will be posting a video soon. After Amber worked up a sweat we went for another walk around the fields. Whilst doing this we met Zia and the girls took part in some serious socialising and what can I say, Amber's manners are immaculate, she behaved like a proper lady and the meeting was a pleasant experience for everybody involved. hug hug dancing dog

Our Girl Amber

Here's Amber (Angie) absolute stunner, she's active and really loves the playpen, I'm told she also gets on most other dogs, for all the right reasons, lets hope you're not with us for too long Amber x

Zia and Amber socializing in safety and a learning process for Ruby who is waiting on the sideline for her turn, which sorry to say isn't going to be today, a little at a time for everyone. All enjoyed a nice relaxed walk after too, Well done everybody x

indie has settled in really well, she has had her first visit to burlish camp and was very well behaved, she runs off the lead but comes straight back when shes called, she is now fast asleep next to my feet, she really is a very cute dog!I have to say a massive thanx for the training she has recieved she is a dream dog cant fault her at all,she is eager to please and she deffinatly does!she has also meet my sisters dog cissie who came from forest rescue about 2 years ago they had a gd sniff and a playdate has been arranged for sunday so will let you know how that goes,it feels like we have had indie longer than 4 days and she has quickly become part of our family, will keep you updated now i have worked out how to post comments lol x

indie is still doing really well, she had a lovely walk up the river with cissie, they got on really well.we take her on 2 walks a day one with a gd run, usually to burlish top or the park.had a scary moment last week when i lost her in bushes up burlish camp, spent 20 mins looking for her with other people helping we were all calling her, finally decided to check the car park which was about 10 mins away and there she was sat by the car Laughing was so relieved to see her.she has settled in now and has gained weight,we feed her james wellbeloved twice a day and her tummy has settled down so it obviously suits her,she still eats like shes starving, but judging by her weight gain she is deffinatly eating enough!

Bet she was sat at the car thinking, "You just can't get the owners!! Where the heck is she? Been waiting here forever!" lol! lol!

I remember Jan saying that Baz did that to her once at the Habberley Valley. Baz was incredibly good with cars, because he would run ahead when we got to the end of our forest walks and pick our car out from a car park full and sit by it!

So pleased you are having so much pleasure from her. She is just the best girl, and despite the two false starts, it sounds like it really is third time lucky for her!

Thanks

hi just quick update on indie she is doing really well loves her walks ,i let her have a gd run on the field next to the camp before going into the woods so she doesnt run into the bushes seems to satisfy her!she is no longer the skinny girl she was when she came to us she has filled out into a stunning looking dog who gets compliments about her looks all the time!she is really chilled out all the time nothing seems to upset her at all,she really does take family life in her stride, she loves cuddles and cant get enough of them she is now allowed on the sofa (our old dog peggy will be looking down in disgust lol) as she is so loving and just wants to sit as close as she can normally with her head on your lap,its very relaxing feeling her there!cant thank fdr enough for helping us find her will put some photos on when i work out how to lol x
